38 Studios  is not over until the people of Rhode Island say that it's over; and Fed Up in RI says that it's not over.  Not by a long shot.

 

Curt Schilling thought he was a player, but he was in way over his head when he first met with the representatives of the Rhode Island Power and Corruption Machine in 2009. Now some people have gotten rich, some have lost everything, and the People of Rhode Island are on the hook for over $100 million dollars because of that meeting and what resulted from it.  All this without ever receiving an answer from those entrusted with the responsibility of providing answers, as to how it all transpired and if there are entities that should be prosecuted.  And don't believe that it is being handled by the State in a law suit, because the State of RI is not the Plaintiff in that suit, the EDC is, and it filed the suit only to divert everyone from looking elsewhere.

 

We can not allow the coverup to stand. We cannot allow the guilty to go unpunished and we can not allow the people of Rhode Island to bear the burden while those that engineered the crime and benefited from it go on to their next scheme as if nothing ever happened. The Public Trust has been breached and we demand answers and retribution for what we believe to be crimes.

 

Truthfully, they aren't very creative. The Machine has been doing the very same things, in the very same ways, over and over again since the General Assembly first took power and created the Machine. So it's very important to them that the mechanics of their schemes not be exposed for fear of having to come up with different schemes if the People began to recognize when one is about to be put into play. So they employ every means available to lull the people into believing that they are doing these things to benefit the State, when in reality, they do them for their own special interests – which means they make money. And the payoff for silence by those watching and doing nothing about it is patronism and cronyism.

 

When their schemes are finally exposed - they rely on those who have been put into power by the Machine to give the appearance that something is going to be done and that someone is going to get to the bottom of it; when in reality they're just stalling to get through the statute of limitations period for the specific crime that was just committed.

 

Fed Up in RI vows that they will not be successful with what transpired with 38 Studios on our watch. We also vow that there will be no additional schemes like 38 Studios on our watch.  Rhode Island is finding out who Fed Up in RI is and just what it is that we intend to do here in Rhode Island.
