~ WHAT WE DO ~

Anyone who has followed our blog and facebook page over the past year of our existence has already seen a small portion of us standing up to the Machine. They have seen our down to earth, practical idea side expressed in what needed to be done in the last election and a very small portion of our activist side by our intervention in stopping the issuance of $14.3 million in tax credits to 38 Studios; in our Remonstrances to the Governor in protest of the illegal and unconstitutional inclusion of the payments to the bondholders of 38 Studios Bonds in the budgets (which has preserved our standing for a suit at law in the very near future);

And most recently, our discovery of the State attempting to merge the State National Guard unconstitutionally with the civil police and the campaign we waged to defeat this dangerous attempt by the Governor and the Legislature, along with our stands on many other pieces of proposed legialation not drafted in the best interest of the citizenry.

However, as you will soon find out, we're not strangers to administrative hearings, State House Committee hearings and all courts of Law. We're not intimidated by the politically anointed. In fact, we've found that it's usually the other way around because they're just not used to People who ask them nicely to do their jobs, then tell them to do their jobs, then make them do their jobs; or face the consequences for that refusal.

We are proud of what we have accomplished in this short time since organizing Fed Up in RI, and look forward in continuing to show all of Rhode Island what we're capable of doing.
